- Technical ParaplannerSalary: £35,000 - £40,000 plus benefitsLocation: GuildfordYOU Personnel Ltd have an excellent opportunity for a Technical Paraplanner to join an independent financial planning organisation working in a fantastic location.Reporting to the Paraplanning Manager, as a senior Paraplanner you will help lead and manage a client focused, motivated team of paraplanners to ensure the production of first-class research and report writing on a full range of financial planning, products and services. You will have a thorough understanding of the advice process, suitability letter and regulatory requirements imposed by the FCA.Duties:
- Provide paraplanning support to a team of Financial Planners
- Work alongside the Financial Planner on advice strategies
- Research on products and investment strategies
- Use cash flow modelling tool and produce suitability reports
- Assist Paraplanning Manager and Risk & Development Manager with company’s research processes including platform and product due diligence
- Manage Investment Committee, attending and documenting minutes at meetings
- Communicate investment updates to the wider business
- Assist in the production of client facing investment update sheets
- Challenge current processes and look for ways to improve services
- Assist Paraplanning Manager in developing good relationships with providers and arrange meetings
- Manage paraplanning workflow and allocate team tasks
- Motivate team and manage sickness/holiday
Key Requirements:- Diploma in Financial Planning and Investment focused qualification
- Chartered or working towards Chartered status
- 5 years’ financial services industry experience including working in a Technical paraplanning role
- Microsoft Office - Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Investments, pensions, trusts, taxation, protection, investment and fund
- Fund analysis tools and ideally cash flow modelling tools
- Self- motivated with a passion for their role, innovative thinking is welcomed, a problem solver
- Fantastic interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise at all levels
- Attention to detail, the difference between good and great
- A natural leader and team player with a hands on approach to work
